$60,000 base salary + uncapped commission (day one) 

 

What You'll Do (Mostly)

Manage the full freight lifecycle: prospect → quote → book → cover → close 

Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers 

Negotiate rates and manage profitability across your freight 

Operate independently while collaborating with a supportive team 

Own your accounts and grow your book of business through grit and relentless customer service 

 

What You’ll Do (In Corporate Speak)

  • Prospect and build a pipeline of new business opportunities through outbound phone calls, emails, networking events, trade shows and on site meetings 
  • Build and nurture customer relationships through proactive outreach, regular client engagement, and actively closing new business opportunities 
  • Conduct in-person visits with existing and prospective clients throughout the assigned territory, targeting three to four field days per week 
  • Partner with branch leadership to ensure alignment on forecasting objectives, business development planning, and sales pipeline management 
  • Exercise sound judgment and the ability to effectively reprioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment 
  • Serve as a cross-functional liaison between internal departments to deliver a consistent and positive end-to-end customer experience 
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders and decision-makers at varying organizational levels to gain a thorough understanding of each customer's operational challenges and supply chain objectives 
  • Develop and present customized logistics solutions that create measurable value and align with the client's broader business goals 
  • Contribute meaningfully to the regional sales team by consistently meeting net new revenue goals while actively sharing market insights, best practices, and collaborative ideas that elevate overall team performance 
  • Identify, target, and schedule face-to-face meetings with prospective new clients within the designated branch territory 
  • Maintain accurate and current records within the company CRM platform, with updates completed no less than once per week 
  • Sustain ongoing client relationships to support account health and long-term retention, working in close coordination with the assigned Account Executive or Account Manager 
  • Timely follow-up on inbound sales leads generated through overseas offices or directed by sales leadership 
  • Actively participate in company-provided training programs designed to strengthen relevant industry knowledge and sales capabilities 
  • Collaborate with the Sales Coordinator to prepare competitive quotes and manage a smooth onboarding handoff of new accounts to the appropriate Account Executive or Account Manager

What Success Looks Like 

Within your first 12 months, you will transition and grow your book of business on QQR's platform, deepen your shipper and carrier relationships, increase load volume and margin across your freight, and build a repeatable pipeline that supports continued growth.

Compensation

$60,000 base + uncapped commission year 1

 

The compensation range shown for this position represents the floor and ceiling of base pay applicable to this geographic location. An individual candidate's placement within that range will be based on relevant work experience, demonstrated skills, and applicable education or professional training. Please note that the figures referenced in this posting reflect base salary only and exclude any additional variable or incentive-based compensation that may be associated with the role.

Requirements

What You Bring (Required) 

High school diploma or GED (some college preferred) 

2+ years of experience in logistic sales or operations (preferred FTL and OTR) 

Preferred, industry contacts or a current book of business 

Proven track record of consistent production 

Strong customer relationships with repeat freight 

Demonstrates skill of managing internal and external customer expectations 

Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment 

Experience using TMS and CRM platforms (HubSpot or similar a plus)
