Role Summary

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. In this role, you will manage key accounting processes, analyze financial data, and provide insights that help leadership make informed decisions. You will work as an integral part of the finance team, contributing to process improvements and supporting the company's financial health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, examine, and verify financial records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP standards
  • Manage the general ledger, process journal entries, and oversee month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Assist with budget development, financial forecasting, and the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax filings and maintain documentation for tax compliance
  • Support internal and external audit activities by providing documentation and explanations of financial transactions
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Collaborate with the finance team to identify process improvements and implement efficiencies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2-4 years of accounting or finance experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data analysis
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification or current CPA candidate status
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting or consolidations
  • Familiarity with audit preparation and processes
  • Background in budget development and financial forecasting
